Carter Garnsey, age 5, is the winner of the Easter basket
drawing sponsored by Friends of the Christian County Library (FOL).
Carter is from Springfield but accompanies his grandmother
who lives in Ozark to the library. He
says he has a lot of books at home and especially likes Toy Story and Dr. Seuss
books. When not reading, he enjoys
playing games, playing with his toys, and riding his bike. Along with the Easter basket, Carter picked
out a purple FOL book bag for carrying his books.
The next basket on display at the library will be for a
special mom for Mother’s Day. Come in
and sign-up to win this basket valued at $50.
FOL is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides
additional funding to the library through two book sales per year. Funds are used to support the library’s
summer reading program, other events, and enhancements needed by the
library. The next book sale will be held
April 14 – 21, 2012. Contact the library
at 417-581-2432 in order to learn more about library activities and to find out
how to become a member of Friends for only $5.00 a year. As a member of Friends you can attend a
Friends Night preview sale on April 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
