Statement of Purpose

 The Christian County Friends of the Library is an active, growing organization dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the Christian County Library. Our #1 priority is to provide additional funding for items and services not covered by the library's county budget. We acquire these funds through various fund raisers throughout the year. We invite you to participate in the activities of the Friends of the Library. It's FUN! It's great for meeting people! Get involved! Join us today!!!!!


 To join, sign up at the Christian County Library, 1005 North 4th Ave., Ozark, MO 65721 or at one of the two yearly book sales. Members are invited to the pre-sale the night before the public sale. You may sign-up that night or anytime at the library. Annual dues are $6 for an individual and $10 for a family per calendar year (January - December). Family membership includes tow adults and children under 18 years of age living in the same household.

Volunteers Needed!
  • Setting up, running, and taking down for book sales
  • Representing the library at business expos and other public functions
  • Sorting books and magazines throughout the year
Book sales are held twice a year in Spring and October. See dates and times below. Questions? Call the Christian County Library at 581-2432 Monday through Thursday 8:30 - 8:00 or Friday and Saturday 8:30 - 5:00.

Donations Accepted

We accept hardback, paperback and audio books, DVDs, videos, computer games and monetary donations any time the library is open except for the weeks before, during and after spring and fall book sales. Your donations are sold by the Friends of the Library from a cart in the library as well as large sales each April and October. Bring to entrance by the mailbox. Remember us when clearing your shelves! Thank you!
