Karen Greenwood from Ozark was the winner of the Mother’s
Day basket drawing sponsored by Friends of the Library (FOL).
Karen Greenwood |
Karen teaches history, literature, and bible classes to 5th
and 10th graders. She has
been coming to the Christian County Library since her daughter, now a junior in
high school, attended preschool programs offered by the library. When not involved in her teaching duties, Karen
enjoys reading historical fiction, biographies, and the classics.
FOL will have a Father’s Day basket on display at the
library for a special dad. Starting June
1 visitors are encouraged to come in and sign-up to win.
FOL is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides
additional funding to the library through two book sales per year. Funds are used to support the library’s
summer reading program, other events, and enhancements needed by the
library. To support library services to
Christian County teens, FOL has bought a Nintendo Wii video game system. This new teen program, Wii Play Free Play,
will begin in June. Contact the library
at (417) 581-2432 to learn more about library activities and to find out how to
become a member of Friends of the Library.
