Friends of the Library (FOL) provided the money to purchase a
new Nintendo Wii console and accessories for the Christian County Library.
To debut the Wii game system, a presentation
was held on Thursday, May 31,
in
the Netzer Room at the library.
This
new teen gaming program, aimed at 12 to 18 year olds, was added to the summer
reading program to encourage teens to become familiar with the library and to
take advantage of the many resources available through the library.

FOL is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the
improvement and expansion of services provided by the Christian County
Library. Our #1 priority is to provide
additional funding for items and services not covered by the library’s county
budget. These funds are mainly acquired
through book sales held twice a year in April and October. Volunteers are always needed to staff these
book sales and to represent FOL and the library at business expos and other
public functions. For $5.00 a year you
and your family can join FOL.
