CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY TO TWO PATRONS OF THE
CHRISTIAN
COUNTY LIBRARY
Selah Dickson of Nixa was the happy recipient of a Christmas
basket prepared by Friends of the Christian County Library. Selah’s name was submitted by her grandpa,
Jeremy Dickson. Selah, age 2, likes to
play with her dog Bo and with her kitchen set.
She loves her monkey which she carries everywhere and is a big fan of
Mickey Mouse. Some of Selah’s favorite
books are Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and Blue
Hat, Green Hat.
Bettie Reynolds of Rogersville received the adult Christmas
basket. She is a retired nurse and
enjoys working with her husband in their vegetable and flower gardens. Bettie loves to read and named Margaret
Truman, James A. Michener, Victoria Holt, and Debbie Macomber as some of her
favorite authors. She comes to the
library and goes through the stacks of books looking for something she hasn’t
yet read. As a little girl she would
climb an apple tree to read her books.
Friends of the Library prepare seasonal gift baskets during
the year to not only promote reading, but also to promote the various programs
and activities provided by the library to the Christian County community. The library is located at 1005 N. 4th
Avenue in Ozark and can be reached by phone at 417-581-2432, or on the web at www.christiancounty.lib.mo.us.
