Two Winners Announced at Friends of Christian County Library Book Sale

It was announced at the book sale Connie Ferguson and Ruby McClain, both residents of Ozark, are the winners of the fall drawings sponsored by the Friends of the Christian County Library (FOL).

Ruby McClain (age 5 years old), daughter of Heather and Ryan McClain, is the winner of the child’s basket. Ruby enjoys attending story time at the library with her sisters, Autumn and Ember. Her mother allows the girls to choose a book they like and then she chooses one to read to them. Right now, they are reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Connie Ferguson, the winner of the adult basket, is a retired RN. She enjoys coming to the library every three weeks to check out books to read. She added that all this new technology, such as e books, is just not the same as actually holding a book in your hands to read.

FOL is a nonprofit volunteer organization that supports the Christian County Library by funding the library’s summer reading program and other events through book sales. The FOL would like to thank those who purchased books at the recent book sale for their support. The Friends are offering gift baskets to promote use of the Christian County Library, located on 4th Street in Ozark. Each basket is a $50 value and includes new books, games and other seasonal items. The Christmas baskets will be on display at the library by December 1st. For more information regarding how you can enter the drawings or join Friends of the Library, contact Christian County Library staff at 417-581-2432.
