Friends of the Christian County Library Announce Drawing Winners

Elizabeth Manuel and David Phillips are the winners of the Christmas drawings sponsored by the Friends of the Christian County Library (FOL).

Elizabeth, winner of the student basket, lives in Ozark and is in the 6th grade at Upper Elementary. She enjoys cooking, especially baking, and art. Her mother, Susan, brings the family to the library for the variety of books available. Elizabeth’s favorite books to read are on painting and cooking.

David, winner of the adult basket, is the father of Joshua, 14, and Amber, 12, and lives in Bruner. He thinks this is the first time he has won anything. When not working, David enjoys spending time with his family. His favorite books to check out are Westerns, but he also likes to read various magazines. He and his wife bring their children to the library, not only to check out books, but also to use the computer.

Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides additional support to the Christian County Library by funding the library’s summer reading program and other library activities through two book sales each year. Gift baskets are given away to show appreciation to the patrons and to promote use of the Christian County Library, located at 1005 N. 4th Avenue in Ozark. Each basket is a $50 value and includes new books, games, and other seasonal items. For information regarding the drawings, or FOL, contact the Christian County Library staff at 417-581-2432.
